[The Orayu Blade]

very nice work but

It could have been better.. the strong parts where the graphic design and the animation, very strong, but the weak parts where concistency and tention building. Heres what i mean with that:

concistency:
I figure all the other reviewers have already pointed this out, but the transition between cell shaded 3d and hand drawn didnt feel right, it just went from one to the other, although i thought your hand drawn stuff was also really good, the transition just felt weird.
There was no apperent reason other than that you didnt feel like working out the entire fight in 3d. Also the sound felt a bit sloppy, sometimes there were sound effects, sometimes there werent any.. that kinda distracted me.

tention building:
I felt, because of missing sounds, that the tention that you had built up got lost, and then rebuilt an then lost again, and becuase it didnt seem intentional it kinda took away from the feeling of the movie, I didnt loose myself in the movie if you know what I mean..

might just sound like a bunch of jibberish to you but fuckit.. that was my 2 cents

ok this could be helpful to some

but I think true noobs could have a hard time following your explanations, because your visual support was kinda minimal,
some tips if you truely want this to work:

1. use visuals from flash (just hit printscreen on your keyboard and then import it into flash)
2. animate a mouse that will follow every step you explain
3. There was a little dot following a line which represented the progress of the audio, it would be handy if you could drag it around to skip to variouse points, to repeat certain parts perhaps.

I think with these ajustments you would have a very decent introduction to tweening that could be helpful to a lot of people.

okay but that would take at least 5-6 hours at absolute MINIMUM. so I won't animate the mouse. If I figure out how I might make the progress bar draggable.

Te clip is funny as hell but this is not really what NG is for, its not a funny video site, what matters here is your own work, which is very minimal here and doesnt add any value.
The least you could have done not to get this blammed is to make a funny voice over..

it definetly has its own feel to it, I love how this movie hints to a bigger message, but doenst make it too obviouse, kinda leaves you to think about it yourself.

Like SpadeRHo6 said, its original and you should definetly continue this series, only the sound needs improving.. animation and design could alsp be improved, but I like the style

The message I got from this flash is that invading Iraq was a stupid plan, and that George Bush is to blaim.. I agree with that, but I dont agree with some of the things you say in your comments and at the end of the movie.
I agree that the US troops deserve respect, as individuals, because they have the courage to risk their life for whatever they believe is right.
But I dont respect everything they do, like rape, killing helpless wounded enemies, torturing innocent people and so on.
I think these things should be covered by the media, even if it makes it harder for the troops, because its the truth, and if the media wouldn't be able to uncover the truth, it would be nothing more than a military propaganda machine.
What I think that they are doing wrong is focusing on the soldiers that did this, instead of WHY they did it. What happened is not the fault of the soldiers that did it, but of the people that made it happen. These soldiers where ORDERED to "soften the prisoners up" before interrogation, these methods where approved by Donald Rumsfeld and thought up by the CIA. But instead of Looking for more, these soldiers are made the black sheep, they are dragged to court marsial for things they where told where OK to do.
I think the big problem with this war is the attitude with which the Bush administration is waging it.
They dont care about the troops, they dont care about the Iraquee people, all they care about is giving exclusive rights to drill for oil to American oil companies.
the US troops arent getting killed protecting
our asses, Saddam was not a threat to us.
They are getting killed fighting a war to secure 90% of the worlds oil reserves for the Bushes, and their friends companies.
I'm not saying that the people that are out there, fighting, dont deserve respect.
All I'm saying is this war shouldnt be going on in the first place.

Great response. You are right, somebody else pointed that out to that showing what these soldiers did is necessary. I agree with that now. Even though it makes our good soldiers look bad. I you gring up a good point. These soldiers are going to pay for what they did. But, what about the others. Thats just the way it goes. The others will not be exposed and these soldiers will just have to deal.
